HAMMER BATTALION NORTH TOUR 2009

4th March - Joensuu - Finland
Venue: Kellari

Carl:
Joensuu is a small town in the south eastern part of Finland. Are there really any metal heads here? While taking a quick walk around the venue I saw several long haired people dressed in black, so I thought there might be hope for a good show tonight.

Tomas:
Yeah and I think it was the guys Carl saw that showed up to the show. It wasn't maybe the biggest crowd, but there were some really big and loud orcs in it!!! At the front row bangers were all talking Swedish!



Legion:
The crowd today is musical Viagra, fucking hell loud and violent crowd! I pull the lousiest Spinal Tap moment I’ve done in a while; I manage to fall out of the hotel shower while trying to get in it. I scratch the back of my right leg and knock of the plastic cover of the glass door. The glass cuts my knee and I fall flat to the floor on my back. Three long seconds later I realize how much it hurts and I start grunting and moaning. Emil and Carl are laughing their asses off from out the lounge. The blood is running from my knee as I get under the water again. Suck it up fucker, the show must go on.

Emil:
Imagine that you are in a hotel room and all of a sudden you hear a "fooshkabang!! Ahhh!! Fuck!" from the bathroom, of course you gonna laugh your ass off! We met up with our good friend Hanne again which I have to send out greetings too for showing up! Keep practicing that drumstick trick now!




5th of March - Oulu - Finland
Venue: Teatria

Legion:
Oooouuääähhhh!!! Serpenths projectile vomit, his second for the night splashes all over his own bed. Little smell puffs of the burping convulsions find their way into my bed all night but what the hell, he had a great night and on tour you learn very quick to find your own personal serenity and respect others rock n roll. You gotta being a bunch of loons packed like sardines.

Carl:
Last gig in Finland. The Club Teatria is a spacious place with plenty of backstage areas. So the sardines had a bit of room to roam today.

Tomas:
It burns; it hurts - to wear killer boots the whole tour...

Carl:
Wear shoes then, you stupid fuck!




6th of March - Umeå - Sweden
Venue: Midnight

Legion:
Today is my blog an all out praise to the local promoter Fredrik from Diamond Dogs. We get comped and spoiled to the extent that you’re prepared to pay money to receive this kind of treatment. A mighty cool prep to the show, as I run for the stage Johnny yells "Hey don’t you want a beer for the stage?" hands me one and that’s where the party starts. The audience is greeting us by toasting and we’re having a fun, sweaty show. A local reviewer comments "Legion is Sebastian Bach with ADHD". Hahahaha!!!

Emil:
Well the reviewer is right! You are a retard! Even offstage. *Legion beats me*
I had a fever this night so I got like 2 hours of sleep. A bit tough to do the show in a feverish tired situation but I have no choice, the show must go on!

Joinus:
Oh my, Umeå was kick ass. When we went up on stage there was already people waiting to mosh. That just gets the motor running instantly and we give Umeå a dose of Mad moshing metal. After the show I hook up with some old friends I've met during earlier drunken hazes.
And also some friends of my old bandmate Lenny Blade, from which I've only heard stories (so many) before. So, a big hail to all you guys in Hellmasker and other Umeå freaks I partied with.



Tomas:
Like the other guys said, Fredrik is the man! This is like the best food we ever got on a tour so far, my deepest respect to Fredrik! When Emil is sleeping off his fever on the bus I'm meeting up Sebastian, one of my oldest friends from the Net, in the center of Umeå. He takes me for a sight seeing in the city. Today I borrow some of Helmut's weights pump some iron together with Legion. The stage tonight is so fuckin small but we don't care, we raise hell anyway. After the show I cut my right hand on this broken beer bottle, but I'm in good hands. The most beautiful bartender I've ever seen is taking good care of me and the wound and when I told Anders of Unleashed about this in the backstage, he was thinking of cutting himself too!

Carl:
Friday night, high spirits, great gig and wild after party. The night ends with me catching Anders and Tomas from Unleashed half naked and on top of each other in Tomas' bunk while Johnny is squirming with homophobia at their prank. Have I accidentally ended up in Homo Battalion North?
